Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky responded publicly for the first time since President Donald Trump's elliptical office exploded on Friday, with social media posts thanking the United States.
“Thank you to America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit” Zelenskyyy Posted on x. “Thanks @potus. Congress and Americans. Ukraine needs justice and peace. We work precisely for that.”
The post was Zelensky's first comment since the meeting between Trump and Vice President JD Vance turned into a White House cry, and three leaders discussed what “cards” Ukraine holds and whether Zelensky is showing sufficient appreciation for the United States.

The scheduled press conference on Friday was cancelled after a heated replacement and Zelenskyy was excited to drive the White House and was actively out and about to drive.
