Actor Michael Rapaport Critiques Mayoral Candidate Zoran Mamdani

Michael Rapaport recently took to Instagram to voice his criticism of Zoran Mamdani, a Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City, implying that he is “pretending to be a man.”

In his post, Rapaport shared an image of Mamdani eating a large burrito with a fork while riding the subway, suggesting that it reflects poorly on his authenticity as a city dweller.

“Look at this dirty bag! No one eats like that on the train; you have dirty lips,” Rapaport remarked. “Who eats a burrito with a fork and knife????”

“This clown wants New Yorkers to think he’s one of us,” he continued. “He’s not from here. He doesn’t move like us, he doesn’t talk like us, he doesn’t live like us. Zoran The Moron—he’s just a LinkedIn profile that walks like a crowd.”

He further accused Mamdani of making empty promises, saying that he would “say anything to get elected.”

Rapaport described Mamdani as “a cosplay New Yorker with scripted lines full of fake smiles and empty promises,” asserting that all his words are merely attention-seeking lies. He predicted that once things go south, Mamdani will shift the blame to others.

Rapaport eventually encouraged voters to support former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo instead.

A recent poll showed Mamdani, who identifies as a democratic socialist, leading the race with a 43.2% approval rating, compared to Cuomo’s 28.9% and Republican Curtis Sliwa’s 19.4%.

According to that same poll, if Sliwa were to drop out, the race would tighten significantly, with Cuomo trailing Mamdani by just four points, which is within the margin of error.

Sliwa has already declared that he has no intention of exiting the race, asserting, “One person, one vote. That’s how we decide elections.” He seemed unimpressed by any pressure for candidates to drop out.
