49ers’ Brock Purdy ready to ‘disappoint’ Taylor Swift during Super Bowl

Brock Purdy is ready to be an “antihero.”

The 49ers quarterback said during Sunday’s Super Bowl that he would be willing to break pop icon Taylor Swift’s heart if the time came.

Swift has been the Chiefs’ most famous fan ever since she went public with her relationship with Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce in September, and has appeared in 12 games for Kelce this season. has become a member of

With the Chiefs and 49ers scheduled to play in the 2024 Super Bowl, it wasn’t surprising that Purdy would face Swift-related questions during Monday’s opener.

“It’s late in the fourth quarter. Are you ready to let Taylor Swift down?” NFL Network’s Scott Hanson asked Purdy, with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes standing next to him.

When Hanson finished his question, Mahomes started laughing.

Without missing a beat, Purdy simply smiled and answered, “Yes.”

The question drew a loud roar from the Allegiant Stadium crowd.

Hanson hit back at him, saying the global superstar “may write a song about it, but you never know.”

Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been as much a part of the Chiefs’ playoff run as their play on the field, and Swift was the topic of much discussion during Monday’s Super Bowl 2024 opener.

With the resumption of Ella’s Tour, there was some question as to whether she would attend the Super Bowl.

She plans to watch her boyfriend compete for a Super Bowl ring for the second year in a row, Page Six reported.

Kelsea praised Swift’s successful night at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where she won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

“She’s unbelievable,” Kelce said of Swift. “She’s trying to rewrite her history books. I told her she had to put up with the end of the bargain and take home the hardware as well.”
