Rep. Jasmine Crockett labels Trump a 'wannabe Hitler' in connection with the Epstein files situation.

Representative Jasmine Crockett has made waves by labeling President Trump as “Wannabe Hitler,” criticizing Republicans for their responses to controversies involving the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, expressed her frustration with the GOP’s handling of Epstein’s past, emphasizing their commitment to Trump despite various scandals. “I totally believe they’ll try to move on from this as fast as possible,” she stated during an appearance on MSNBC’s Alex Witt Report, when asked about Republicans potentially voting to release Epstein-related grand jury documents.

She added, “They want to demonstrate loyalty to this… well, I don’t know how to refer to him. I’ve used plenty of terms, but it seems they’re really trying to stick by him.” Trump and his supporters found themselves embroiled in the Epstein saga following reports from the Justice Department and FBI indicating that Epstein, who died in prison, didn’t have a client list.

The situation ignited anger among Trump’s MAGA base, which has urged for increased transparency regarding the Trump administration’s dealings. At one point, Trump expressed his frustration, dismissing criticisms as “this bulls-“, blaming past supporters and his base faction for the turmoil.

In response, Democrats, looking to capitalize on GOP divisions, have announced plans to push legislation aimed at releasing Epstein files, which has prompted some Republicans to feel cornered.

On Thursday, Trump asserted that he would like the grand jury testimonies related to Epstein to be disclosed. He remarked that it’s not merely about upsetting “troublemakers” from the radical left.

Crockett, reflecting on the delicate balance within the GOP amid the Epstein controversy, remarked, “I think they’re concerned about the fallout. If he’s hiding something, it could affect not just him but the Republicans and the entire MAGA brand.” Therefore, she speculated that they may hesitate to take any action that could jeopardize their standing or their leader’s.

This unfolding drama arrives just as lawmakers are preparing for an August break. Some Republicans, like Representative Thomas Massey from Kentucky, foresee that their constituents might pressure them to advocate for more transparency concerning Epstein.

Crockett, known for her provocative remarks against Trump, recently rebutted his comments aimed at her and other progressive representatives. Last week, Trump suggested that both she and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should take IQ tests, stating, “AOC is sharp, but she has a very low IQ, and we really don’t need that.” He added that they would find out who fares better in the tests.
