Kamala Harris ridiculed for sharing a post about the one-year mark of her unsuccessful presidential campaign

Kamala Harris Reflects on One-Year Anniversary of Failed Presidential Bid

On Monday, former Vice President Kamala Harris acknowledged the one-year mark since her unsuccessful presidential campaign.

A year ago, then-President Joe Biden took to social media to announce he would withdraw from the race, subsequently endorsing Harris as the Democratic candidate for the 2024 elections.

To commemorate the occasion, Harris shared a post on X, including photos from her previous campaigns. In her message, she reflected, “Today, I began my campaign for the President of the United States. It was a privilege to travel the nation and meet so many Americans striving for a brighter future during those 107 days.”

However, many on social media did not respond positively and noted her failure to mention Biden in her reflections.

A user named Amy Curtis remarked, “You didn’t receive a single significant vote. How democratic is that?”

A report by the Republican National Committee claimed that “being a presidential candidate without securing any votes isn’t as impressive as you think.”

Political humor was also present, with Washington Free Beacon’s Chucks joking about the situation.

Commentator Link Lauren observed, “I didn’t mention Biden at all. I’m really trying to forget my association with his administration. It’s hard not to remember, though.”

Senior National Review author Dunm McLaughlin questioned the timing of the campaign launch, asking, “Why did it start on July 21?”

John Hawkins humorously recalled, “A year ago today, I kicked off a campaign for the President of the United States.”

Kurt Schlichter, a columnist at Townhall.com, noted, “Your failure and reputation were quite clear.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Harris’ team for a response.

FEC filings indicated that Harris’s campaign spent over $1 billion within three months, engaging celebrity influencers and activist groups, as well as covering expenses for private jets.

Ultimately, she was defeated by Donald Trump in November.
