Rumors of Russian Conspiracy Revisited
For quite some time, it’s been apparent that the idea of a Russian conspiracy was fabricated by someone intent on undermining President Donald Trump, especially after he defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. You could say it was a significant attempt to disrupt the political landscape.
On Wednesday, Tulsi Gabbard, the National Intelligence Director, released a report from the House Intelligence Committee that had previously been classified. It included details about communications involving John Brennan, the former CIA director, who had already been questioned by former President Barack Obama.

Gabbard drew attention to this declassified report, stating that it reveals a troubling conspiracy involving high-ranking officials from the Obama administration trying to subvert the will of the American people. She emphasized the necessity for the Justice Department and the FBI to investigate potential criminal implications stemming from this situation.
Former National Intelligence Director James Clapper commented to CNN that he found Gabbard’s claims to be baseless. He indicated that Brennan, who had recently been mentioned in connection with the FBI by current CIA director John Ratcliffe, still considers himself as a victim of what he perceives as false accusations during congressional hearings.
Interestingly, it seems Obama may have influenced the 2017 assessment by the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), pressing for a rewrite that downplayed earlier findings on Russian support for Trump.
It’s worth mentioning that when asked about the implications of these allegations, Trump remarked that while he might receive a ruling of immunity, it likely wouldn’t benefit those around him.

In related matters, the Supreme Court ruled that the president holds significant constitutional authority and is presumed immune from prosecution for actions conducted in official capacities.
Trump stated, “He committed a criminal act. There’s no doubt about that, but he has immunity.” He further added that Obama owes him a considerable debt following the events that transpired.
Obama’s office responded, arguing that recent documents do not change the well-established conclusion that Russia attempted to influence the 2016 election, though they failed to alter the actual voting outcomes. This narrative, surrounding alleged Russian collusion, has often been painted as a strategy driven by the Obama administration based on inaccurate and unreliable intelligence—a claim underscored by this newly released report.
It appears that some of Obama’s former associates might have to reckon with the newly instituted task force by the Department of Justice, which is exploring potential legal actions as a consequence of Gabbard’s disclosures.
