Iran's Supreme Leader reportedly spends his days sleeping and using drugs, according to a social media account linked to Mossad.

After a 12-day conflict, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is reportedly spending his days mostly asleep and in an altered state.

“How can you lead when a leader sleeps half the day and spends the other half on substances?” was the provocative question from an unusual new account on Premium X, which seems to satirize the Iranian regime by posing as a spokesperson for the official dialect, Farshrugage, associated with the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

The self-proclaimed Persian spokesman for Mossad mentioned in a recent post that drug use and communicating with spirits aren’t suitable qualities for anyone in a leadership position.

This isn’t the typical way Mossad interacts with the public, but two intelligence experts suggest that the peculiar account appears authentic.

“This is a new tool for the battlefield,” commented Zvi Yehezkeli, a prominent commentator from I24News focused on Arab issues.

Benny Sabti, an Iranian expert at the Israeli National Security Institute and a former IDF Persian officer, agreed, noting that some of the information shared might have originated from Mossad itself.

Claims about Khamenei’s potential drug use have surfaced before. In a 2022 interview on a Turkish channel linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, it was asserted that top Iranian leaders frequently use drugs.

“Many viewers may not realize this, but Khamenei himself uses drugs,” said Noor Mohamed Omara during that interview.

He went on to describe a particular village in Balochistan where these substances for leaders are reportedly produced, under the control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, with restricted access.

Interestingly, after the 1979 Iranian revolution, Ayatollah publicly condemned the use of “non-Islamic” substances, especially opium.

Mossad has neither confirmed nor denied these allegations regarding Khamenei’s drug use.
