“The View” continues to showcase an unbalanced representation of voices, featuring 102 guests leaning left while excluding conservatives throughout the first seven months of 2025. An analysis by MRC Newsbusters, covering episodes from January 6 to July 25, revealed that the show hasn’t featured a single conservative voice in political discussions. Notably, in April, the program booked 63 liberal guests and zero conservatives, a trend that remains unchanged.
The show appears unapologetic about its intent, focusing primarily on critiques of Trump and aligning with the Democratic agenda, whether or not it directly promotes specific politicians. I mean, it really seems like they’ve only engaged with liberal perspectives so far this year.
In a rather interesting segment, Joy Behar proposed a theory about Trump using Rosie O’Donnell as a distraction from Epstein, indicating the show’s willingness to engage in outrageous claims. The lineup this year included political figures such as Joe Biden, Senators Tammy Duckworth and John Fetterman, and various other Democratic leaders. It’s curious, right? Biden seemingly picked this platform to address challenging allegations regarding his mental acuity.
MRC pointed out that the program still hasn’t managed to book any conservatives even midway through the year. The closest they got was California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who defended a liberal immigration reform stance on a June episode.
Eva Longoria, Mark Hamill, and other notable liberals were also part of the mix, highlighting the show’s consistent preference for left-leaning guests. Interestingly, Sarah Haynes, one of the co-hosts, acknowledged the shift in dynamics since Trump took office. The show has not included perspectives from prominent Republican voices, including token representatives Anna Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin, each holding outspokenly progressive views.
Concerns over the show’s representation have drawn attention, with claims that ABC should reconsider its guest selection for the upcoming season to reflect a broader spectrum of opinions. It’s a bit ironic that the program, which was initially intended as a platform for diverse female perspectives, has seemingly become one-dimensional.
Responding to the study’s findings, an ABC News insider suggested that their booking decisions pursue promotional goals rather than political representation, hinting at the nature of celebrity bookings that often steer clear of heavy political discourse. They no longer seem to focus much on reading legal disclaimers, which raises questions about the overall direction the program is heading into.
It’s definitely something for viewers to consider as they tune into the show moving forward.
