The family of Virginia Giuffre, who accused the late Jeffrey Epstein, is calling for the release of all documents related to the high-profile case.
In a heartfelt interview with CNN on Thursday, Giuffre’s brothers and her husband shared that she expressed a desire to see those files made public before her tragic death by suicide in April.
“She wanted the world to know what happened to her and so many other survivors. She fought for that until her last moment,” stated Amanda Roberts, one of her sisters-in-law.
Giuffre, who alleged she was forced into sexual encounters with Prince Andrew at the age of 17, was reportedly upset about Ghislaine Maxwell exploring a possible pardon, according to her family.
Sky Roberts, Giuffre’s brother, commented, “Maxwell deserves to remain in the prison she belongs in for what she did to my sister and many others.”
“The victims deserve justice. These survivors had something taken from them that they can never regain,” he added. “It’s time for these monsters to be exposed and to lose what they’ll never get back—actually, that’s their freedom.”
Maxwell, now 63, is currently serving a 20-year sentence in federal prison after being convicted for her role in facilitating the trafficking of minors for Epstein.
Recently, the House Oversight Committee summoned Maxwell due to the significant public interest surrounding the Epstein case, but she has requested immunity or a pardon in exchange for her testimony.
Epstein, aged 66, was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on August 10, 2019, after facing charges for abusing numerous minors. His death was ruled a suicide.
