Radio Host Charlamagne Says 'I'm Supporting You' After Trump Calls Him 'Low IQ Sleazebag'

Charlamagne Tha God Talks Trump on The Breakfast Club

Charlamagne Tha God recently addressed President Donald Trump during an episode of his radio show, *The Breakfast Club*. He shared a mix of encouragement and criticism, saying, “I’m rooting for you, but I need you to concentrate.”

He urged Trump to focus on significant issues: “I want you to end the war, are you okay? I want you to keep the borders safe. I want you to energize the economy. These are important things, and I’m an American. I want to see the country succeed, regardless of who’s in charge.”

Continuing, Charlamagne said, “We need to focus on two things: the economy and Epstein.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong economy and addressing transparency related to Epstein without letting other issues distract the public.

Trump responded via a post, labeling Charlamagne as “racist” and questioning his intelligence. He claimed that Charlamagne doesn’t recognize his accomplishments, highlighting the supposed achievements of his administration, such as ending wars and bolstering the economy.

Charlamagne, however, countered some of Trump’s assertions. He stated that while Trump claimed to have closed borders, it doesn’t really reflect the reality on the ground. In fact, recent reports indicate record numbers of migrant arrests at the southwest border.

On the show, Charlamagne also commented on political trends, suggesting that the current atmosphere might provide traditional conservatives with an opportunity to regain influence in the Republican Party. He reflected on the idea that Republicans risk repeating the mistakes that Democrats made in the past.

As the conversation evolved, Charlamagne called Trump one of the few significant political figures of his time, saying that trying to emulate Trump’s style wouldn’t yield similar results.

In his interactions with Trump, Charlamagne expressed indifference to being labeled a “sleazebag,” humorously contemplating the merits of the term and reflecting on Trump’s criticisms of him.

Ultimately, Charlamagne didn’t shy away from discussing the complexities of U.S. foreign relations and domestic border policies, urging a more grounded view of the current political landscape.
