Border Patrol Adopts New Tactics in Los Angeles

US Border Patrol agents in Los Angeles are finding innovative ways to avoid being detected when operating in areas frequented by illegal immigrants.

A group on the far left in Southern California has taken to social media, sharing information about federal vehicle models and license plates. This is intended to warn illegal immigrants to keep an eye out for these vehicles. Recently, border patrol agents surprised individuals in a Home Depot parking lot, arriving in an unmarked box truck, which understandably startled those present.

The operation, named “Operation Trojan,” involved unmarked SUVs and sedans typically used by federal agents.

In a video shared by Fox News correspondent Matt Finn, agents can be seen jumping out of the truck. As awareness spread among those in the parking lot, many started to flee the scene.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), MS-13 has a stronghold in the area, which contributes to these kinds of targeted raids against illegal immigrants. Just as the agents arrived, the primary operation concluded before any protests from bystanders could escalate.

Interestingly, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) showed up shortly after the raid began, requesting to speak to agents on the scene as a demonstration of force directed at both illegal immigrants and Democratic leaders.

A spokesman for DHS confirmed that the operation at Home Depot, dubbed the Trojan Horse raid, resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Following reports that one of the vehicles was utilized improperly, Penske stated that they were not aware of the specific use prior to the operation and assured that they would reach out to DHS. The company also pledged to tighten its policies to prevent similar situations in the future.
