Sixth Suspect Arrested in Cincinnati Mob Attack
Aisha Devarn, a 25-year-old, has become the sixth suspect arrested in connection with a violent mob attack in Cincinnati, according to reports from local media. She faces charges of felony assault and aggravated assault, which reportedly contributed to a riot.
Authorities apprehended Devarn around 9 AM on Wednesday, following the actions of the arresting squad. As of Wednesday evening, she was still in custody, as reflected in prison records.
In a video that has gone viral, Devarn is seen wearing a white bodysuit, exiting a bar and, distressingly, stomping and kicking a male victim lying on the ground.
The video captures her in several moments: initially, around the nine-second mark, she can be observed stomping on the victim multiple times. Later, someone intervenes around the 17-second mark, pulling her away, which results in what appears to be a wig being torn from her head. The woman reappears again at the 1:27 mark, shortly after another individual strikes a blow to the back of the victim’s head.
A witness, identified as Holly, recounted her experience after Devarn’s arrest, expressing her thoughts during a press conference that day.
With Devarn’s arrest, all six individuals connected to the mob assaults have now been taken into custody.
Earlier in the week, 38-year-old Patrick Rosemond was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia, facing similar charges. Local news outlets reported that he is accused of assaulting a victim named Holly.
Recent coverage has also highlighted a disturbing close-up image of Holly after she fell, showcasing her shocked expression as bystanders rushed to help her.
Another suspect, 37-year-old Dominique Kittle, was arrested on Friday night and has also been charged with felony assault related to the riot. Testimonies during Kittle’s hearing revealed he had attacked the victim from behind in an attempt to steal from him.
Kittle’s bond was set at $150,000, with three additional suspects also in custody: Jermaine Matthews, Dekyra Vernon, and Montianez Merriweather.
According to police reports, Matthews was allegedly visible in footage where he attempted to inflict serious harm on the victim, even dragging an unconscious person into the street before delivering punches. After his surrender, a judge set his bond at $100,000, which later increased following new charges.
As for Merriweather, he reportedly punched the victim while another person trampled over them. Prior to this incident, Merriweather had been charged with firearm-related offenses stemming from a felony conviction in 2009.
His bonds connected to the mob attack charges have been set at $500,000. Vernon, like others, has also been charged with aggravated assault in relation to the mob’s actions.
The next court dates for Kittle, Matthews, Vernon, and Merriweather are scheduled for Friday.
