Disney World visitor criticized for 'extremely annoying' behavior driven by social media

I’ll get the camera ready.

Whether at a concert or an amusement park, it’s pretty common these days for everyone to whip out their phones to capture the moment.

A frustrated visitor shared a story in the r/waltdisneyworld Reddit community, telling of an annoying experience at Disney World, centered around a man who seemed way too eager to document everything with his smartphones.

This guy was juggling multiple iPhones with both hands, plus a camera mount and a portable charger. Those stuck behind him? Well, they must have had a tough time seeing anything at all.

The Redditor, seeking others’ opinions, posed a question—was this behavior excessive?

The responses came pouring in.

One user commented, “Absolutely. I can’t stand people live-streaming in the park. It’s just uncomfortable, especially with a whole setup like this.”

Another chimed in, “This Disney influencer thing takes away the magic. Disney World should be an escape from reality, not a video shoot.”

Interestingly, even some Disney cast members weighed in on the issue, sharing their own frustrations about content creators filming everything. They mentioned how while some influencers ask to record, many do not, and this leads to uncomfortable situations for everyone.

One cast member remarked, “When influencers treat the park like it’s a commercial shoot, it can really take away from the experience. People fail to recognize that not everything is meant for entertainment.”

Shifting gears a bit, there’s also been chatter about rude behavior among Disney guests. Katie Dowd from SFGATE expressed her annoyance over disruptive patrons on rides.

She noted, “Just because you’re familiar with a ride doesn’t mean others are. It’s about enjoying the experience—being distracting is something else entirely.”

Others added their thoughts, suggesting that some regular visitors need to be more considerate. “Newcomers shouldn’t have to deal with those who treat the ride like a casual hangout. If you can’t be patient for a few minutes, maybe you should skip it,” another commenter stated.
