Family of man reportedly taken by repeat offender released early from prison by judge appointed by Democrats

A man with a criminal history, who allegedly threatened his family at knife point to help him rob a bank, had just been released from prison a year prior.

Armond Langford, 32, reportedly broke into his family’s home in East Louisville, forced a woman to drive him to a bank, and demanded $20,000 from the teller.

In a shocking incident, while holding a knife to the woman’s throat, he stabbed her mother and led police on an extensive manhunt before his arrest.

Brandon Strong, the father of the attacked family, expressed his disbelief and frustration upon discovering that Langford had received a 14-year sentence last year for nearly a dozen robbery convictions.

He was released by Judge Jessica Greene, who was appointed by Kentucky Democratic Governor Andy Beshear.

“It’s unbelievable that this was allowed to happen,” Strong stated in an interview. “This wasn’t some minor offense.”

Judge Greene had granted what’s called “shock probation,” a concept aimed at deterring future crimes by exposing offenders to prison life.

Strong further criticized the judicial system, questioning whether such leniency should be administered to violent offenders.

Langford was apprehended on Friday afternoon, just hours after reportedly committing robbery and assault in Lyndon, a suburb east of Louisville.

He now faces numerous charges, including robbery and assault.
