Graham Praises Trump’s Approach to Russia

During a recent appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) commended President Donald Trump’s strategies ahead of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Graham suggested that Trump’s policies might avert a third Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“I believe Europe has somewhat relinquished its duties,” stated FNC host Sean Hannity. “Joe Biden seemed ready to engage in proxy wars for Europe at U.S. expense. Trump, on the other hand, has a different approach regarding arms. So, what exactly defines success?”

In response, Graham indicated, “Our goal is to prevent another invasion. I believe President Trump can not only halt the current conflict but ensure it doesn’t reignite. My advice to Trump is to avoid strategies like those used by Biden and Obama, which often fail Europe.”

He elaborated, “We need to bolster American business interests in Ukraine. This is a form of deterrence. If European nations are ensured of Ukraine’s security and Putin attempts another intrusion, he won’t just be challenging Ukraine, but a formidable coalition. Even someone like me can benefit from a Trump approach when dealing with Putin.”

However, Graham noted, “He imposed a 50% tariff on India for purchasing Russian oil. He targeted the second-largest buyer of Russian oil while continuing military support to Russia with that same tariff. This is why Putin is seeking dialogue in Alaska. It’s about establishing peace through strength.”
