Kate Gosselin disregards her son Collin, claims her children are united and share a great relationship.

Kate Gosselin recently expressed how well her kids are getting along, following an emotional letter from her estranged son Colin, who suggested she is to blame for his strained relationship with his brother.

In a TikTok video, while sewing buttons onto her son Joel’s jacket, Kate shared, “It’s wonderful when the kids come home for vacation. They all get to catch up, especially since they’re scattered across different colleges.” She seemed genuinely happy, remarking, “I can hear their laughter, and it fills the house with joy. We cook big meals together, and it gets really loud, but I love every second of it.”

Colin, along with his siblings—Alexis, Leah, Hannah, Aiden, Joel, and Kara—are part of the “John and Kate Plus 8” family.

Meanwhile, Colin took to TikTok on August 7 to share a letter addressing his siblings, hinting at feelings of being “forced” out of their family unit. He wrote about the challenges of feeling alone, reflecting on their bond and shared experiences. “Born to be a team, we are hostile to the world,” he captioned a throwback photo of himself and his brother. In another photo, he expressed, “I wonder every day what life would have looked like if I hadn’t been pushed away.”

Colin noted in a caption that he and his siblings felt they were “against each other.” He emphasized, “Despite it all, I will always love them more than anything.”

Amidst all this, Kate posted a video on Monday revealing her decision to return to her nursing career due to financial pressures. While doing household chores, she responded to a fan’s comment about Colin’s TikTok post by simply stating, “He knows why…”

After her divorce from ex-husband John Gosselin in 2009, Kate retained custody of their children and starred in a spin-off, “Kate Plus 8,” from 2015 to 2017.

Colin would later reach out to his father and, subsequently, John obtained physical custody of him. Colin also ended up living with his father while the other siblings stayed with Kate.

John has accused Kate of “institutionalizing” Colin, claiming she did so without proper diagnoses during his appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” in 2019. In a 2024 interview, Colin made serious allegations against Kate, including claims of abuse. Through her representative, Kate has strongly denied the accusations, stating she acted to protect herself and her family.

As familial rifts deepened, the remaining siblings have made appearances with Kate on social media. Colin’s accusations have further complicated their relationship, with Kate previously stating that Colin’s unpredictable behavior led to his distancing from the family.

Recently, Kate, a former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, mentioned on TikTok that she experienced financial difficulties following her turbulent divorce. “It’s been tough, but I had to go back to what I know,” she shared candidly.
