Baseball fan becomes popular online during Cubs victory for using his laptop

On Tuesday afternoon, during a game at Wrigley Field featuring the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers, a fan was seen working on his laptop while sitting in the bleachers. This moment caught the attention of the Marquee Sports Network, which referred to him as a “game fan,” just as the Brewers took a 6-4 lead in the eighth inning.

One sports commentator quipped about his dedication, asking, “Did you bring a mouse?” Some wondered if the fan was actually working or just daydreaming about fantasy football. This unusual scene quickly gained traction on social media, with teams like the Cubs and Blue Jays chiming in on the fun.

In the first game of a split doubleheader, the Cubs triumphed over the Brewers 6-4. Chicago quickly took control, scoring two runs in the first inning and three more in the third. Second baseman Willicastro hit a notable three-run homer, while outfielder Owen Casey contributed with a solo shot during the sixth inning.

Starting pitcher Matthew Boyd earned his twelfth victory of the season, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out three. The Brewers’ Christian Yelich managed to hit a solo homer in the fourth inning, but it wasn’t enough.

Chicago went on to win the second game of the doubleheader as well, although Milwaukee still holds a seven-game lead in the National League Central Division standings, despite their losses.
