Donald Trump has recently appointed four judges to the district courts in North Carolina.
Matthew Orso has been appointed to the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Trump expressed his satisfaction with this choice, noting Orso’s commitment to fighting against government overreach and his support for constitutional rights. Trump highlighted that North Carolina has been significant in his past campaigns.
Another appointment is Susan Courtwright Rodriguez, also for the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Trump mentioned her experience as a magistrate judge and her background in private law practice, acknowledging her educational accomplishments at the Antonin Scalia Law School. He emphasized her dedication to restoring law and order.
David Bragdon has been appointed to the US District Court for the Central District of North Carolina. Trump remarked on Bragdon’s strong educational background and his ongoing work as a US lawyer. He pointed out Bragdon’s experience gained while working for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, noting this as beneficial for upholding constitutional rights.
The fourth appointee, Lindsay Freeman, will also serve in the US District Court for the Central District of North Carolina. Trump shared that Freeman has been actively involved with the Department of Justice and holds degrees from both Upenn Law School and Harvard. He commended her capabilities in safeguarding constitutional rights.
