Trump Is Running for President in 2028

California Governor Gavin Newsom is urging Americans to take seriously his comments about President Donald Trump possibly running for a third term in 2028, expressing concerns that our democracy is in jeopardy.

Newsom, who is on his second term as governor and is considered a potential presidential candidate for 2028, shared his thoughts during an interview with Chris Cadelago from Politico.

Governor Newsom: I doubt that Donald Trump actually wants to go through another election.

Chris Cadelago: Do you think it’s a possibility he’s considering?

Governor Newsom: Come on. Who spends $200 million on a ballroom in their own home before they leave?

This isn’t a joke, folks. This is serious.

Chris Cadelago: So, is it Newsom versus Trump in 2028?

Governor Newsom: No, no. This man has no faith in free and fair elections. He attempted to undermine this country. Were you there on January 6th?

I think Fox had filed a lawsuit about that; it seems they’ve forgotten it. The shareholders certainly haven’t.

In essence, he tried to dismantle and ignite chaos in our democracy. He lost by nearly 12,000 votes and is still pushing this narrative.

People just shrug and say, “That’s just Trump being Trump.”

Are your folks really taking this potential fourth election seriously? Do you think he was joking about 2028?

Did anyone catch when he brought a foreign leader to the Oval Office and he went to the White House store? Just me? And he’s showing them a 2028 hat. Isn’t that serious?

Wake up. You’re on the brink of losing your country.

Trump had previously indicated to NBC News in May that he wasn’t interested in running again.

I’ll say this: Many people want that to happen. I didn’t have strong feelings about it, but I’m not sure if it’s constitutional or permissible. A lot of folks are willing to wear a 2028 hat, but that’s not my wish. I aim to have a productive four years and ideally pass things on to a capable Republican to carry on.

Despite this, Newsom remains uneasy, stating that he isn’t going to be complacent while Trump potentially threatens the country. “I can’t stay calm and I refuse to be submissive; not with someone like him trying to tear apart our nation,” he remarked.
