Portnoy to Debut on “Big Noon Kickoff”
Dave Portnoy, the Barstool Sports founder, is set to make his debut on “Big Noon Kickoff” this Saturday, marking the start of the 2025 college football season. He’s expected to be in attendance for the much-anticipated game between Ohio and Texas.
Before the game, there was quite a bit of buzz surrounding Portnoy’s appearance. Known as a huge Michigan fan, he humorously hinted that his support for the Wolverines might’ve gotten him into a bit of trouble earlier in the week when he was reportedly “banned” from Ohio Stadium.
However, that ban was later denied by Ohio officials, who stated that Portnoy wasn’t technically banned since he wasn’t part of Fox’s main production crew—a requirement to be in the stadium.
On game day, he made a playful appearance outside Ohio Stadium, donning a disguise. “Well, the director, Ryan Day, didn’t want me getting into the ‘shoes’—there’s a lot of tension because Michigan has had their way with Ohio for the last five years,” he remarked, alluding to the fierce rivalry.
Portnoy officially joins the “Big Noon Kickoff” team in collaboration with Fox Sports and Barstool Sports, and other personalities from Barstool will be joining him as well.
As the number one team, Texas looks to kick off the season with a win against national champions Ohio State. The game is set to start at noon ET on FOX.
