DOJ Paralegal Terminated for Inappropriate Conduct

Attorney General Pam Bondi has dismissed a paralegal from the Department of Justice following reports of inappropriate behavior toward members of the National Guard stationed in Washington, D.C. This decision came on a Friday, as highlighted by multiple sources.

The employee in question, Elizabeth Baxter, who worked in the Environmental Division, lost her job after an investigation into several incidents that occurred this month at the DOJ’s 4CON building in the Noma district. She was captured on security footage arriving for work on August 18 around 8:20 am.

According to reports, Baxter directed an expletive toward a National Guard member, stating, “F-K National Guard.” That same day, she was seen expressing further hostility towards a security officer, yelling “F-K You!” The situation escalated on August 25, when she again made derogatory comments to the guards, claiming a strong dislike for the National Guard and telling them to “F-K Off.”

In a statement that addressed the conduct, Bondi mentioned, “Today, I took action to terminate DOJ employees due to inappropriate conduct against DC National Guard members.” She underscored that the DOJ remains committed to supporting President Trump’s agenda and ensuring safety, asserting that anyone opposing that mission would no longer be part of the department.

The notice of termination also indicated that Baxter was removed from her GS-11 paralegal position. This incident follows the dismissal of another employee, Shawn Charles Dan, who allegedly assaulted customs and border protection agents by throwing a sandwich at them. Dan now faces potential misdemeanor charges, which could result in a prison term of up to one year.

Recently, the Trump administration has deployed numerous federal agents and National Guard personnel throughout Washington, as part of a broader strategy to combat crime in the area.
