Trump Administration Celebrates Labor Day, Pledges Support for American Workers

Key members from the Trump administration marked Labor Day by emphasizing the president’s commitment to “American workers.” They highlighted various aspects of ongoing economic development under his leadership.

“This administration is clearly backing American workers. Thanks to the president, we are seeing America build again—from infrastructure like roads and bridges to the hardworking individuals in shipyards and truck driving,” one representative remarked.

Labor Secretary Lori Chavez Deremer echoed these sentiments, stating, “American workers finally have a president who is advocating for them.”

During an appearance on Fox and Friends, she noted that the unemployment rate remains steady, emphasizing rising wages. She mentioned an increase of 1.4% in blue-collar wages.

“Consumer confidence is on the rise,” she continued. “I’ve been traveling across the country, visiting 50 states; I’ve already seen 32 of them. I engage with people daily to understand their needs.” She added that she speaks with workers in various trades, including firefighters and law enforcement, gaining insights on their challenges.

Deremer shared her excitement about investments being made, mentioning her recent discussions with submarine shipyard workers while traveling through New England.

Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) also celebrated Labor Day, stating, “A very special happy Labor Day to the hardworking men and women who keep this country going. We will always support you!”

Energy Secretary Chris Wright expressed his sentiments by saying, “Happy Labor Day to all Americans—especially since I woke up at 4 AM this morning to help empower our homes and businesses while others took a break!” He views American energy workers as critical to the nation’s infrastructure.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) issued a statement affirming that, “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, these working families can celebrate Labor Day feeling victorious.” They noted rising wages, a resurgence in manufacturing, and crucial tax cuts that benefit hardworking citizens, underscoring that “the Republicans are the party of American workers.”

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) shared his excitement too, stating, “Happy Labor Day! It’s amazing to have a president who prioritizes hardworking Americans and aims to make our country thrive.” He mentioned that support for American workers is a shared goal among Senate Republicans.
