On Wednesday, a group of 100 small business representatives gathered at the White House to express their appreciation to President Donald Trump for his commitments, according to Breitbart News.
Business owners from 33 states came to thank the administration and engage in discussions about how the government supports small enterprises, as shared by White House officials.
Kevin Hassett, the director of the National Economic Council, spoke about a significant legislative bill aimed at benefiting small businesses, focusing on areas like tax cuts and reducing regulations. Kelly Roefler, a manager for small and medium enterprises, also shared insights on his supportive management strategies.
The attendees included representatives from recruitment firms, small pharmaceutical companies, and manufacturers.
Timothy Opsitnick of TCDI from Greensboro, North Carolina, conveyed gratitude for the chance to hear from Loeffler and Hassett and to express appreciation for the administration’s efforts.
“We’re really thankful to hear from the leaders of the Trump administration today and come to the White House to thank the Cabinet for safeguarding both President Trump and small businesses,” he remarked. “Earlier this year, we reached out to President Trump requesting protection from escalating costs and harmful regulations known as CTAs. Within weeks, the administration acted to aid small businesses.
Surprisingly, Robert Reish of Warning Institute and The Office Toolbox in Arizona mentioned that Trump and his team were “working hard for entrepreneurs and small business owners across the nation.”
“He has focused on empowering the Small Business Administration, including appointing a chief advocacy lawyer for the first time in nearly ten years,” he noted. “This appointment sets a record as the earliest nomination for such a role in history.”
Cynthia Kay from CK&CO in Grand Rapids, Michigan, commended Trump’s major legislative efforts, stating they prevented business owners from facing a hefty tax increase.
Each year, the National Association of Small Businesses (NSBA) visits Washington to communicate the needs of Main Street businesses to lawmakers. “The most crucial thing we can do this year is thank President Trump and congressional leaders for saving us from an enormous tax hike,” she said.
“This has made an immediate difference for me and my bottom line, and will significantly influence my planning for next year,” Kay added.
