This Sunday, President Trump and Vice President Vance are set to speak at a memorial service for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, as announced by Turning Point USA on Tuesday.
Both Trump and Vance had already confirmed their attendance, and they’ll be joined by several other notable figures who are expected to speak at the event.
Kirk’s widow, Erica Kirk, will also deliver a statement during the ceremony.
Among the others from the Trump administration speaking are White House Chief of Staff Susie Wills, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and White House Office member Seggio Gore.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump Jr. are also slated to make remarks.
The event’s website mentions that more speakers will be revealed soon.
The memorial is scheduled to take place at State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals, which has a capacity of over 63,000.
Admission is first come, first served, and attendees are encouraged to register beforehand. Details can be found on the event’s page.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. local time, with the program anticipated to start at 11 a.m. Attendees are advised to dress in “Sunday Best Red, White, or Blue.”
Kirk was tragically shot last Wednesday at an event at Utah Valley University.
The following day, Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, was arrested on suspicion of the murder, with the state seeking the death penalty and announcing seven charges on Tuesday.
Trump spoke to reporters the day before, expressing his intention to honor Kirk at the memorial, recalling him as a close ally during his administration.
“It’s a very sad weekend. We lost some amazing people,” Trump stated. “I’m going early on Sunday morning. We’ll go to Arizona and take some people with us to Air Force 1.”
On Thursday, the president mentioned that Kirk would be posthumously awarded the Medal of Freedom.
