President Trump Honored During Second State Visit to England

On September 17, 2025, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were acknowledged for their presence during an exceptional second state visit to England. This marked a historic moment, as Trump became the first U.S. president to receive an invitation for a second state visit to the UK.

The state visits, typically arranged by British monarchs, are formal occasions featuring significant royal pageantry, including parades, state banquets, and military ceremonies. On this particular day, the Trumps found themselves at Windsor Castle, seated next to King Charles II and Queen Camilla while attending a military performance known as the Beat Retreat.

During the event, which included a carriage procession to pay respects at the tomb of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Trump exchanged gifts with the royal family. It’s noteworthy that over 1,600 service members participated in the military displays, a record turnout in recent times.

The ceremony concluded with a stunning aerial display by nine Hawk T1 jets from the RAF aerobatics team, the Red Arrows. The jets painted the sky with trails of red, white, and blue smoke—colors representing both the U.S. and British flags. Although four U.S. F-35 jets were supposed to join the display, they were grounded due to adverse weather conditions.

Outside Windsor Castle, a large police presence of 1,500 officers was deployed to ensure safety amid protests from thousands of left-wing demonstrators voicing their opposition to Trump’s visit.
