'No Leader Has Promoted Peace More — Grant Trump the Award'

World leaders, politicians, and celebrities are urging the Nobel Committee to recognize President Donald Trump for his role in what some Israeli authorities are calling a “miraculous” agreement to release all remaining hostages and bring an end to the conflict in Gaza. This achievement is being celebrated as historic, with supporters dubbing him the “president of peace” and suggesting he is the “peacemaker the world desperately needed.”

On Wednesday evening, President Trump announced that both Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement regarding the initial phase of his proposal, which includes the release of all hostages and a reconfiguration of Israeli forces as a step towards a more sustainable resolution.

Congress: “President of Peace” and increasing calls for recognition

Republicans have led the charge in Congress. Representative Nancy Mace stated that Trump “deserves the Nobel Peace Prize,” calling him a “President of Peace.” Meanwhile, Senators Marsha Blackburn, Tommy Tuberville, and Cynthia Lummis praised the achievement as “historic,” calling for the committee to act.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw remarked that if Trump does not win, then “no one else should.” Congressman Byron Donald highlighted the administration’s success in conflict resolution and declared the moment “historic.”

Some are taking more concrete steps. Representative Anna Paulina Luna sent a letter urging the Nobel Committee to acknowledge the agreement, and Representative Claudia Tenney, who has nominated Trump before, reiterated her nomination and urged the committee to “do the right thing.”

The enthusiasm grew. Congressman Andy Biggs emphasized immediate action, while Congressman Randy Fine even suggested that he might contemplate repealing the 22nd Amendment if all hostages were returned and stability restored, claiming, “There will never be another leader like him.”

A mix of support beyond Washington

Senator Bernie Moreno labeled it a “historic day” for the United States, Israel, and the broader region. Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evett referred to it as a transformative moment, while Eric Trump rallied supporters to amplify the message.

In a rare instance of bipartisan agreement, Senator John Fetterman acknowledged that the agreement has the potential to free all hostages and promote lasting stability.

Israeli leaders rally for recognition

Within Israel, political leaders from diverse parties have united in support. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated simply that Trump deserves the award. President Isaac Herzog expressed his “infinite gratitude,” while opposition leader Yair Lapid described the agreement as a “moment of hope” that warranted the committee’s attention.

This wave of support extended beyond Israeli borders. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee praised Trump as a “true peacemaker,” noting the rarity of individuals capable of achieving peace. Argentinian President Javier Milei signed Trump’s nomination, calling the agreement an “extraordinary contribution to international peace.”

Former Israeli government spokesperson Eilon Levy remarked that Israelis rarely find consensus, but are now united in this call for recognition. Eli Shalabi, a former hostage, expressed gratitude for Trump’s leadership, recalling that his family always had someone willing to listen.

The sentiment was palpable, with reports of farmers incorporating Nobel 4 playing cards into their fields, and crowds in both Israel and Gaza chanting for Trump to receive the Nobel Prize.

Officials within the Trump administration echoed these sentiments. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick asserted, “Without a doubt, President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize,” while senior official Leo Terrell called him the “Nobel Prize President, GOAT.”

Celebrities and media amplify the calls

High-profile figures are adding a voice to this movement. Bill Ackman opined that Trump clearly deserves the award, and KT McFarland described the outcome as “nothing short of a miracle,” asserting that only Trump could have made this possible.

Meghan McCain noted that Trump is confident he would win if he successfully ends the fighting and secures the hostages’ return. Laura Ingraham commented that either Mr. Trump understands this, or the committee should dissolve.

Sean Hannity pointed out that even the New York Times has recognized Trump’s achievements, calling it “the greatest diplomatic success of his second term.” The Heritage Foundation has also urged the committee to honor “the 45th and 47th presidents who have redeemed themselves and fulfilled their duties.”

Trump is expected to visit Israel following the finalization of the deal, where he’ll meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the families of the freed hostages. Earlier this week, it was reported that families of Israeli hostages had sent a letter to the Nobel Committee, urgently requesting Trump be awarded the Peace Prize for his efforts in securing agreements to bring their loved ones home.

This appeal, made just days before the deal reached completion, has ignited widespread calls for the committee to acknowledge Trump’s pivotal role.
