Emily Ratajkowski’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Debut

Emily Ratajkowski made a stunning entrance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, showcasing her first-ever runway walk. The 34-year-old model donned a lovely pink bra and underwear set, complemented by angel wings resembling orchids. She completed her look with eye-catching knee-high heels and stylish pink gloves.

While this marked her debut on the runway for Victoria’s Secret, Ratajkowski has previously collaborated with the brand, particularly in their Icon campaign earlier this year. Reflecting on her experience, she mentioned that growing up, she idolized models like Gisele and Naomi, making her current role feel surreal. “These women were larger than life to me, and in many ways they still are, which is what makes them iconic,” she expressed. It’s a bit overwhelming, really.

Ratajkowski began her modeling career at just 14 when she signed with Ford Models, initially working on catalogs before gaining recognition through cover shoots. Her big break came when she appeared in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” music video, which stirred quite a bit of controversy at the time.

Following that, she secured more modeling gigs and was named Esquire’s Woman of the Year in 2013. That’s quite an accolade, right? She has also appeared in a number of films and TV shows, landing her first notable role in the 2014 movie “Gone Girl.” However, she later stepped away from acting, feeling boxed in by the industry’s expectations. “I didn’t feel like… I was a performing artist,” she remarked, rather candidly questioning how others perceived her.

In 2017, Ratajkowski shifted her focus, launching her swimwear line, Inamorata, which she proudly noted was self-funded. “Having complete control is really special and exciting,” she shared, capturing her journey from model to entrepreneur.

This year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was truly a highlight for Ratajkowski, who shared the stage with fellow models like Candice Swanepoel and Gigi Hadid. The experience seems to have really resonated with her, showcasing not only her modeling talents but also her growth as an individual.
