Suspicious Hunting Platform Discovered Near Trump’s Arrival Site
The U.S. Secret Service has identified a questionable hunting platform that overlooks the area where President Donald Trump is set to arrive via Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport, according to officials.
This discovery was made on Thursday, and an investigation is currently being led by the FBI. FBI Director Kash Patel noted that the hunting platform has yet to be linked to any specific individual.
“Before the president’s return to West Palm Beach, the USSS noticed what seemed to be an elevated hunting stand with a clear view of Air Force One’s landing area,” Patel explained. “No one was present at the location. The FBI has taken control and is gathering evidence from the scene, including conducting cell phone analyses.”
Anthony Guglielmi, the communications director for the USSS, confirmed their collaboration with the FBI and local law enforcement in Palm Beach County.
Guglielmi elaborated that the stand was found during preparations for Trump’s security prior to his arrival. He added, “No actions or movements were impacted, and there were no individuals spotted at the scene.”
While specifics about the items or their intended use remain under wraps, Guglielmi emphasized the significance of the layered security measures in place.
A law enforcement source mentioned that the hunting platform appeared to have been set up months prior.
This development follows the recent conviction of Ryan Routh, who was found guilty of attempting to assassinate Trump from a sniper’s nest established on a Palm Beach golf course.
Routh, 59, faced serious charges, including trying to assassinate a leading presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and various firearm-related offenses.
It’s worth noting that this alleged assassination attempt happened after Trump was shot in the ear at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
