Mark Wahlberg Buys $37 Million Home in Florida
Mark Wahlberg has become the owner of a stunning $37 million estate in Florida, joining a list of high-profile residents that includes Donald Trump, Sylvester Stallone, and Sidney Sweeney.
Wahlberg acquired Palazzo di Lago on Stone Creek Ranch, also referred to as Billionaires Row near Delray Beach, and that price includes furnishings, as confirmed by Fox News Digital.
Michael Costello from Compass, who represented Wahlberg in the purchase, and Senada Adjem from Douglas Elliman, representing the seller, have not commented on the transaction. Attempts to reach Wahlberg’s team about the purchase were made but yielded no response.
The new residence boasts an impressive 26,000 square feet, with nearly 18,000 square feet dedicated to living space. Its amenities include club rooms, a wellness center, a car gallery, private tennis courts, and a saltwater lagoon swimming pool, among other luxurious features.
Wahlberg, who moved his family from Hollywood to Las Vegas last year, is one of many celebrities choosing to relocate to Florida.
Darren Weiner, a Florida real estate agent, explained the allure of the state, pointing out factors like its favorable weather, property tax advantages, and the absence of a state income tax. He also highlighted Florida’s reputation as a “business-friendly state.”
“The sheer size of Florida means there’s something for everyone,” he elaborated. “For those seeking the spotlight, Miami is ideal; if privacy and space are more your style, places like Wellington, Ocala, and Southwest Ranches are perfect.” He added that Palm Beach has been a seasonal hideaway for the wealthy but now attracts even more billionaires and celebrities.
“I could easily travel to places like Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Naples, Tampa, Orlando, and up to Jacksonville along the coast,” he noted.
Stallone himself commented that Florida fits his lifestyle much better than Hollywood. He mentioned enjoying the clean air and the proximity to the water, making it a more suitable living situation for him and his family.
His wife also praised the move, expressing happiness about the changes they’ve made. She shared that many friends had moved away from California, and finding new friends in Florida has been a positive shift for her family.
In the world of real estate, Sidney Sweeney has also made her presence known in Florida, having recently purchased a $13.5 million waterfront home. The ‘Euphoria’ star’s new property is reportedly located about 30 minutes from Key West.
Another high-profile resident of Florida, Donald Trump, made Mar-a-Lago his primary residence in 2019. He expressed on social media that his decision was influenced by the treatment he received in New York, despite his substantial tax contributions.
The 126-room mansion serves as Trump’s residence and features a banquet hall, private beach resort, and various historical artifacts. Trump originally bought the property in 1985 for about $10 million, which would be significantly higher in today’s terms after extensive renovations.
