11-Year-Old Girl Arrested for Writing “Kill List”
A Florida girl, just 11 years old, was taken into custody on Monday after writing a “kill list” on her school desk. The incident took place at the Riverview Learning Center in Ormond Beach, where staff alerted law enforcement upon discovering the list containing four names.
The girl reportedly claimed she was “just playing around,” but officials were not convinced. She now faces charges for making a written threat to kill, classified as a second-degree felony, in addition to violating her probation.
Following her arrest, the sheriff’s office released a video showing officers placing her into a cell. During the video, a deputy asked if she had been there before, to which she confirmed she had.
Responses on social media were mixed. Many commenters expressed their shock at both the arrest and the girl’s age, as well as the fact that she was on probation to begin with.
