Hannity to Co-Host Town Hall Ahead of New Jersey Election

With Election Day just around the corner, Sean Hannity from Fox News is set to host a town hall event in New Jersey, which could become quite pivotal. The New Jersey gubernatorial race is heating up, and it’s expected to draw significant attention.

On Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, Hannity will be at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant alongside Republican candidate Jack Ciatarelli. They plan to discuss various key issues impacting the state, as well as Ciatarelli’s policy proposals ahead of his contest against Democratic candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill. Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner will also participate, bringing extra depth to the conversation. Additionally, national correspondent Brian Jenas will provide live updates during the event.

New Jersey is one of only two states, the other being Virginia, to hold a gubernatorial election in the year following a presidential election. This race has captured national interest, with the outcome likely hinging on which party can better energize its voter base. So far, over 800,000 votes have been cast, mostly by mail, to fill the position of term-limited Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy.

Interestingly, nearly 250,000 individuals utilized early voting, a number that already surpasses the turnout from the previous gubernatorial election’s early voting period. Ciatarelli’s campaign has also garnered support from notable figures like Vivek Ramaswamy and Rep. Byron Donald over the past couple of weeks.

Ciatarelli himself has an interesting background. Having been a certified public accountant and then starting a medical publishing business, he stepped into politics and earned a seat in the state legislature before securing Trump’s endorsement in the Republican primary earlier this year.

Hannity’s Legacy in Cable News

Sean Hannity, a fixture at Fox News since its inception in 1996, made history in 2022 as the longest-serving prime-time cable news host, surpassing the record held by the iconic Larry King. Throughout his extensive career, Hannity has engaged with a broad spectrum of prominent figures, including former President Trump, ex-Vice President Pence, and Ukrainian President Zelensky, among others. His interviews often reflect a wide range of perspectives, adding depth to political discourse.
