Elon Musk Says to Joe Rogan That 'The Democratic Party Aims to Undermine Democracy' During Long Interview

Elon Musk Critiques Democratic Immigration Policies

In a recent three-hour conversation on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Elon Musk delivered a strong critique of the Democratic Party’s approach to immigration.

Musk mentioned that Donald Trump, who won the 2024 election, ran on a platform focused on mass deportations and reducing government spending. He defended the actions of the Trump administration while taking aim at the Democrats, describing their tactics as inherently undemocratic. This pointed criticism comes in light of ongoing debates surrounding immigration policies.

“If Trump had lost, we wouldn’t have had a real election again,” Musk remarked, asserting that Trump played a critical role in border security. He did acknowledge that Trump might be somewhat extreme in his deportation measures but emphasized that setting an unrealistic standard for expelling illegal immigrants would only result in no expulsions at all. “Perfection is impossible,” he added.

Moreover, Musk asserted that, unlike Trump, the Democrats appear to encourage more illegal immigration into the country. He suggested that their agenda led to the recent government shutdown, noting that the Democrats aim to keep funding flowing to support illegal immigration.

“The core reason for the shutdown,” Musk stated, “is that the Trump administration doesn’t want to send hundreds of billions to fund illegal immigration, and the Democrats want to ensure that money flows to facilitate this.” This claim follows Republican allegations that Democrats are shutting down the government to finance medical care for illegal immigrants, which Democrats refute.

Musk also expressed his theory on the economic incentives that draw illegal immigrants to the U.S. “We’re spending vast amounts of money creating incentives that act like a magnet for illegal aliens from around the world,” he explained. “If that stopped, they would leave, since they would no longer receive benefits to remain in the U.S.” Rogan seemed taken aback by this assertion.

Additionally, Musk speculated that the Democrats could face significant backlash if illegal immigrants were to lose their benefits, which could lead to their deportation. “Simply put, Democrats want to undermine democracy by importing voters, and Republicans aren’t supporting that,” he argued.

Near the conclusion of the interview, Musk defended Trump against his critics, comparing him to “the devil.” While acknowledging Trump’s imperfections, Musk emphasized that he does not see Trump as evil, to which Rogan concurred. This discussion comes after a turbulent period between Trump and Musk over the reconciliation bill passed in July.
