Fan Disrupts World Series Game 6
During Game 6 of the World Series featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays, an unexpected event unfolded when a fan ran onto the field carrying an American flag. This incident caused a brief interruption in the game as stadium security tackled the intruder.
The occurrence took place in the sixth inning while Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto was preparing to pitch. Video footage shared on social media displayed a man donning a blue shirt strolling across center field with the flag. At one point, a security guard was caught on camera attempting to seize the flag, which ended with both individuals falling to the ground.
Moments later, uniformed police officers appeared on the scene to apprehend the fan. The crowd at Rogers Center erupted in boos, highlighting the long-standing rivalry between the U.S. and Canada in sports.
Interestingly, despite the disruption, Yamamoto, a three-time MVP in Japan, seemed unfazed. He mentioned through an interpreter after the game, “This is a rare case. I just hated it. But they let me throw a few pitches and I stayed calm.”
In the end, Yamamoto allowed only one run over six innings, leading the Dodgers to avoid elimination and setting the stage for a decisive Game 7 on Saturday night.
As for the upcoming Game 7, it will be aired exclusively at 8 PM ET on FOX.
