Threats Against ICE Agents fromFort Myers Man
A man from Fort Myers, Florida, is under suspicion for making online death threats directed at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Friday that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents arrested the individual.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Joseph Giancola, who allegedly posted these threats on a left-wing social media platform called Bluesky, using the alias “Cain Delon.”
Among the threats attributed to him, one stated, “Shoot the ICE Nazis like mad dogs,” while another declared, “Start by shooting the ice thugs.”
There was also a message that read, “They’re coming at me, I’m going to shoot to kill. Please warn me.”
Breitbart News noted that ICE had begun alerting agents about death threats in early 2025, coinciding with an increase in deportation efforts under then-President Donald Trump. It’s worth mentioning that crime and violence have surged in American communities, which some attribute to President Joe Biden’s open border policies.
DHS revealed on Friday that assaults against ICE officers have surged by over 1,000 percent, and threats of death in connection with such assaults have skyrocketed by an alarming 8,000 percent.
This summer, a resident of Jamestown, New York, faced charges for threatening to kill ICE agents and their families, as reported by Breitbart News.
The FBI, meanwhile, has begun arresting various violent protesters who obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts. This includes a progressive Congressional candidate from Chicago, according to recent reports.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche made a statement emphasizing that no one is above the law and that federal employees carry out crucial work to enforce immigration laws. He added that using intimidation or violence against these workers undermines the very rule of law they represent. The Department of Justice will not tolerate such behavior and will hold accountable those who disrupt legitimate federal operations.
White House deportation chief Tom Homan mentioned that the government is aiming to deport 600,000 illegal aliens by the year’s end. He stated, “We are prioritizing threats to public safety,” and confirmed that no one is exempt from arrest if found.
