Kanye West Apologizes to Rabbi for Anti-Semitic Remarks

Kanye West, now known as Yeh, recently extended an apology to a New York rabbi after facing backlash for his earlier controversial remarks, including a song that praised Adolf Hitler. He expressed that he “takes responsibility” for his anti-Semitic comments, attributing part of his behavior to mental health struggles.

During a meeting with Rabbi Yossiyahu Yosef Pinto, West shared his “deep regrets” about the hurtful things he has said, which led to global condemnation and significant losses in business relationships. A video of this exchange was circulated on social media.

“I feel truly blessed to be here,” West stated, acknowledging his responsibility. He elaborated how his battles with bipolar disorder have pushed him to take ideas to extremes, neglecting the impact on those around him.

In the video, Rabbi Pinto praised West as a “very good person” and was seen giving him a hug. He emphasized that a person is defined not by their mistakes but by their ability to correct them, highlighting the importance of resilience and compassion.

West’s troubling remarks, which began in 2022, included alarming threats against Jewish people and bizarre comments praising Hitler, alongside conspiracy theories regarding Jewish influence in media and finance.

His controversial actions have persisted, with events such as the release of a song titled “Heil Hitler” in May 2025 and the sale of merchandise featuring swastikas.

Interestingly, just two weeks after the song’s debut, West claimed that “anti-Semitism is over.” He concluded with, “I love everyone. God forgive me for the pain I caused. I forgive those who caused me pain. Thank God.”
