A striking new report has emerged about Texas Democrat James Talarico, who claims to be a “devout Christian.” It turns out he follows sex workers and adult film stars on social media, even having private conversations with a few.
Interestingly, he’s known for being a Congress representative for four terms. His social media activity includes following at least ten accounts linked to models, adult film actresses, or escorts.
Some of the profiles he follows seem to have corresponding entries on escort websites, though they aren’t explicitly identified as such. This was noted in a report from Axios.
Talarico, who represents the 50th Congressional District in Texas and is campaigning to take down Senator John Cornyn next year, also faces competition from former congressman Colin Allred in the primary.
He’s also studying at a seminary. Reports suggest he liked several posts from one adult model and even communicated with another escort who described herself as “a bit of a glamor girl.”
In a message to OnlyFans star Alice Gretzin, Talarico expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Alice!” after tagging her in a Story, as noted in a screenshot shared by his campaign.
Gretzin responded, “Thank you! I really appreciate your work. It’s heartening to see politicians like you.” It’s unclear whether their exchange went on, but a spokesperson for Talarico claims there were no further messages sent.
Talarico’s sermons often integrate progressive themes, even going as far as labeling Jesus Christ a “radical feminist” and claiming there are six “biological sexes.”
During a testimony in 2021, he stated, “[M]odern science clearly recognizes that there are far more than two biological sexes…in fact, there are six, and to be honest…I was surprised,” reflecting on his upbringing as the son of a single mother.
He liked a photo from the Instagram account of Allie Pentz, who reportedly has a profile on an adult escort site.
Pentz’s escort profile states, “Hello, I am a polite and sexy woman. My soft, fragrant, tanned skin is very attractive, and I always smile…”
Additionally, he follows Gisele Palmer, known online as @honkyton_angel.
Many of these accounts showcase sexual content, with some linking back to pornographic sites.
Talarico’s campaign rep confirmed that the Texas Democratic Party had interacted with some of these accounts but suggested that other profiles may have been followed by campaign staff.
“The social media team, including James, engages with supporters with a large following, but doesn’t vet their backgrounds,” Ennis stated. “James didn’t know how these women earned their living but doesn’t hold that against them or seek to tarnish them with sensational articles.
“This aligns with his Christian beliefs.”
Talarico, who grew up with a single mother and attended the progressive St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, was encouraged to consider a presidential run during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in July.
Rogan urged, “You need to run for president. We need people who are actually good.”
