John Fetterman Criticizes Democrats for Not Making Epstein Files Public During Biden's Presidency

Fetterman Calls for Release of Epstein Files

Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has criticized the Biden administration for not making public files related to registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during its tenure. This statement came during an appearance on MSNBC on Thursday.

A petition to release documents connected to the disgraced investor, who was arrested in 2019 and died by suicide while awaiting trial, has garnered enough support for a forced vote in the House of Commons, which took place on Wednesday. Fetterman expressed to “Morning Joe” co-host Jonathan Lemire that it was “totally appropriate” to release these files.

“I think it’s definitely time to release everything and everyone,” Fetterman remarked. “I mean, we’ve been pondering this for four years, and honestly, I have a lot of questions as well.”

Fetterman continued, “Once all the information is out there, we’ll gain a much clearer understanding of the situation. We believe we can gather enough votes to ensure those files are made available so that we can fully process all of it.”

Reports indicate that Michael Wolff had advised Epstein on ways to potentially use blackmail against then-President Donald Trump to undermine his 2016 campaign. It was recently revealed that Trump learned in May his name appeared in multiple files concerning Epstein, according to the BBC.

Notably, Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most vocal victims, did not accuse Trump of any misconduct in her posthumous memoir released on October 21, about six months post-Epstein’s death. Giuffre’s ghostwriter mentioned that she was a fan of Trump and believed he would eventually release the Epstein documents.

During a panel discussion on September 3, Epstein’s victims told NBC News reporter Harry Jackson that they had no knowledge of any indiscretions involving Trump. Attorney Bradley Edwards, who represented some of Epstein’s victims, previously described Trump in a 2018 video as someone who was supportive of his efforts.

“The only thing I can say about President Trump is that when I issued numerous subpoenas back in 2009, he was the only one who reached out to me, saying, ‘Let’s talk, I’ll give you all the time you need, and I’ll tell you what you need to know,’” Edwards noted in a 2018 paper.

He added, “The information he provided was incredibly valuable, and there was no sign of any wrongdoing on his part.”

Despite his conviction as a sex offender, Epstein maintained numerous connections with celebrities, politicians, and prominent business individuals, including L Brands founder Lex Wexner, film director Woody Allen, and Prince Andrew.
