U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum Highlights

President Donald Trump announced that around $270 billion in contracts and sales will be signed between various companies during Wednesday’s U.S.-Saudi Arabia Investment Forum.

This news followed an earlier declaration from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who stated that Saudi Arabia’s total investments in the U.S. had surged to nearly $1 trillion, an increase from the $600 billion commitment made back in May.

“Many of you here play a vital role in bringing these projects to fruition, and today we’re seeing $270 billion in contracts and sales being finalized among a number of companies,” Trump remarked, adding that “$270 billion is a substantial amount.”

The White House highlighted that important agreements were reached between Trump and the Crown Prince aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.

“These agreements build directly on the successful visit to Riyadh in May and the $600 billion in Saudi investment commitments secured at that time,” stated a related fact sheet.

“Key achievements include the Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement and advancements in critical minerals collaboration, along with the AI Memorandum of Understanding, all reflecting the U.S.’s commitment to deals that benefit the American populace.”

Moreover, Trump emphasized the strengthening of U.S.-Saudi defense relations, noting Saudi Arabia’s status as a “major non-NATO ally” during a state dinner on Tuesday night.

“A stronger alliance serves the interests of both nations and promotes peace,” he said. “True, lasting peace has always eluded the Middle East, yet we find ourselves closer than ever.”

At the forum on Wednesday, he discussed the importance of fostering partnerships between nations.

“The alliance between our two countries stands as one of the most significant globally, and the Crown Prince and I are committed to making it even stronger,” he concluded.
