Tara Reid Reports Drugging Incident
Tara Reid has lodged a police report stating that she was drugged and left unconscious at a hotel in Rosemont, Illinois.
On Tuesday, she contacted the Rosemont Department of Public Safety, expressing her intent to pursue legal action against those involved in the alleged incident at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Reid mentioned that she finished a drink without any sensation and later woke up in a hospital roughly eight hours later. According to her, hospital personnel informed her about being drugged.
She recalled that before the incident, she had briefly left her glass of wine in the hotel bar to go outside for a smoke. Reid claimed she interacted with some YouTubers before returning to her drink, only to find a napkin over it, which she hadn’t placed there.
“It was just a big blur, a big blur,” she reflected on the lost time, uncertain if any medical tests were done while she was hospitalized.
A police report revealed that she was approached by a man claiming to be a popular streamer. Once they went outside for a cigarette, the situation drastically changed.
“The whole thing felt suspicious, but I couldn’t grasp what was happening,” Reid stated in her report.
She described waking up in the hospital with no recollection of the preceding events, saying, “My mind went completely blank.”
The following day, she received a video from the man she had been with, and felt it seemed like an attempt at blackmail, as he hinted at potentially leaking the video. He further claimed to have contacted security, asserting that she had consumed only one drink.
Reid is willing to press charges, as indicated in her police report.
Lt. Joseph Balogh from the Rosemont Department of Public Safety noted that officers responded to a medical emergency call at 12:39 a.m. on Sunday. Paramedics attended to a sick call, and the individual was taken to a local hospital, though no other reports were filed that day.
Authorities are currently working with the hotel to obtain surveillance footage and are committed to thoroughly investigating the matter.
A spokesperson for Reid mentioned in a statement, “Tara believes her drink was tampered with and is fully cooperating with the investigation.” They added that she is recovering and requests privacy during this distressing time, urging everyone to be vigilant about their drinks.
