Top new dining spots in Miami for Art Basel 2025

If you’re looking for delicious food during this year’s Miami Art Week, you’ll find a range of culinary delights—from the flavors of Japan at Yamashiro to meaty indulgences at Daniel’s and Law.

Yamashiro | 159 NE Sixth St.

Yamashiro, known for its rich history in Hollywood Hills, has made its East Coast debut. Located on the ninth-floor rooftop of the Gale Miami Hotel & Residences at Miami Worldcenter, this venue opened last October. The original restaurant has been catering to the elite in Los Angeles since 1914.

Here, Corporate Chef Charbel Hayek and Executive Chef Gustavo Montes offer a reimagined take on classic dishes, incorporating fresh ingredients from South Florida. Highlights include chipotle branzino, corvina ceviche with spicy serrano peppers, and octopus featuring yuzu and tomato.

The cocktail menu also reflects this East-West fusion. The Samurai Negroni combines mezcal and nigori sake, while Beso Robado mixes rum and seaweed. There’s even a cocktail called Fortune Teller, which boasts flavors like Japanese whiskey, yuzu, sweet chili sauce, and blue spirulina. Sounds intriguing, right?

daniels miami | 1500 San Ignacio Ave., Coral Gables

Just to clarify, this upscale steakhouse wasn’t constructed by anyone named Boulud. It’s actually the latest venture from Sizzler’s Gioia hospitality team, linked to the Michelin-recommended Daniels in Fort Lauderdale. The familiar names behind this venture include owners Tom and Cassidy Angelo and culinary director Danny Ganem.

While some Italian dishes remain on the menu, such as mezze rigate vodka pasta, the primary focus here is steak. Visitors can enjoy options from Australian skirt steak to impressive Wagyu tomahawks, paired with traditional sides like lobster mac & cheese and crab cakes.

The bar offers a relaxed atmosphere complete with TVs, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy classic cocktails, smash burgers, and perhaps even catch a game.

Ro Steak House | 121 Alhambra Plaza, Coral Gables

Rò marks the arrival of a celebrated Mexican culinary team in Miami, showcasing its flair in a significant 7,000-square-foot venue in Coral Gables. Chef Marcelo Palacios, a veteran from Prime 112, is at the helm of this unique experience.

What sets Rò apart is its captivating design, reminiscent of a cave, created using wood, stone, and fire for grilling meats like ribeyes and tomahawks. This immersive setup also offers a selection of tacos, truffle risotto, and beef Wellington alongside more traditional steakhouse fare.

Brooklyn Chop House | Wynwood

Imagine a Brooklyn steakhouse infused with Chinese flavors and a lively hip-hop vibe—that’s what you’ll find at Brooklyn Chop House, which is debuting in Wynwood. This venue brings together the talents of Robert “Don Pooh” Cummins and other hospitality professionals.

Initially opened in New York, the restaurant boasts classic steakhouse items like dry-aged tomahawks alongside Chinese specialties such as Peking duck. The dumpling menu features creative fillings, including options like Philly Cheesesteak and Impossible Burger. It’s sure to be a hot spot for both food lovers and celebrity watchers.

Le Specialità | Design District

Le Specialità, established in Milan in 1977, now makes its Miami debut under Spicy Hospitality Group, crafting a blend of Italian intimacy and fine dining. The space, designed by Rockwell Group, features a chic ambiance with elements like terrazzo and green lava stone.

Guests can indulge in traditional Italian offerings such as branzino, bruschetta, and an array of pasta and pizza options. The wine selection is extensive, with decades-old Barolo and Brunello among the highlights. It seems like a perfect spot to savor the sweet life, wouldn’t you say?
