Nick Reiner apparently had a series of violent outbursts fueled by drugs, which led to threats about kicking him out of his parents’ home before his arrest for their murder.
A source mentioned that Nick had lived in a guest house at his parents’ place, which, well, had seen its fair share of destruction over the years. “It was like a revolving door,” the source said, reflecting on Nick’s history in the house.
Reportedly, his meth use spiraled out of control, leading to sleepless nights followed by aggressive episodes where he would break things—punching walls and causing chaos. “He was really out of control,” the source added, describing him as “a ticking time bomb.” His parents, concerned about his worsening behavior, wanted him to move out.
There were moments when Nick would get into heated arguments over his drug use. One source claimed he was given an ultimatum regarding medication or eviction. In incidents of aggression, it seems he had once threatened his sister, Romy, which escalated into significant turmoil.
Despite their concerns, Nick’s parents, according to reports, hesitated to report him to authorities multiple times. It was suggested that, confusingly, Nick found a sort of humor in the aftermath of his rages, boasting about the wreckage he’d caused.
He had been in and out of rehab but was still allegedly receiving money from his parents to support his drug habits. At one point, he had expressed discomfort with his rehabilitation meetings, citing a “cult-like” atmosphere as the reason he stopped attending.
In a podcast interview, Nick recalled a time during a meth-induced frenzy, admitting to a destructive episode where he “stayed up for days” and said all kinds of things, leading to chaos in the guest house.
In a tragic turn, Nick was arrested after his parents were discovered stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home. He is currently detained at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility and reportedly on suicide watch. Romy, their daughter, is said to have been the one to find them.
