Myles Garrett Eyes NFL Record

Cleveland Browns standout Myles Garrett is on the brink of making NFL history. He’s just half a sack away from tying the single-season record held by legends Michael Strahan and TJ Watt.

Garrett, 29, described it as “special” to break this record by sacking Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He mentioned in a press conference, “That would be special. He’s a legend in his own right. And that’s a legendary record that I’m chasing. So it’s the perfect record to put a picture on the wall.”

Rodgers is quick with his throws, and Garrett emphasized the need to limit his easy options. “You have to take away the easy throws and keep him on his toes. If he relies on quick passes all game, it might change the dynamics,” he said.

The Browns, holding a 3-12 record, will face the Steelers at home this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. A win would not only help the Browns play spoiler but also allow the Steelers to secure a playoff spot in the AFC North.

Garrett expressed a desire to spoil the Steelers’ plans, explaining, “I want to win while doing it. We have guys who are focused and want it too.” Despite the weight of the record looming over him, he stated there’s no pressure. “I’m not stressed about it. It’s just a matter of when, really,” he shared.

A former No. 1 overall pick from the 2017 NFL Draft, Garrett has made a name for himself as one of the league’s top pass rushers, racking up an impressive 124.5 sacks over 132 career games.
