Jake Paul shared a heartfelt birthday wish for his fiancée, Jutta Lierdam, on her 27th birthday. “Happy birthday to my baby Jut. I love you @juttaleerdam 💫,” he posted on Instagram, accompanying the message with a photo of the couple.
This gesture follows a tough moment for Lierdam, who is an Olympic speed skater. She fell during the Olympic trials in the Netherlands last Friday.
Leah Adam, meanwhile, celebrated her own birthday by posting two beautiful photos of herself in a brown dress on Instagram, simply writing, “27 years old,” alongside a cake emoji.
After his match with Anthony Joshua resulted in a fractured jaw on December 19, Paul had some choice words for Lierdam’s critics in his comments.
“Many great things are about to happen, Princess,” Paul expressed in Dutch, as translated via Google.
Paul and Leah Adam made their relationship public in March 2023, and shortly after, he proposed during a trip to Italy.
He had gone to the Netherlands to support Lierdam as she aimed for a spot in the Winter Olympics after his injury from the boxing match.
Describing his surgery, Paul said, “There are two titanium plates on each side. Several teeth were extracted, and I’ll be on liquids for a week.”
Lierdam’s fall during the 1,000 meters raised questions about her Olympic prospects, though she rallied back to finish second in the 500 meters. She was understandably shaken after the incident.
She remarked, “I’m skating really well in practice,” explaining that she knows she has the skills needed. She is a silver medalist from the 2022 Beijing Olympics and believed she could have performed just as well as her competitors that day.
Paul expressed his heartbreak at seeing her struggle, knowing how much this means to her and all she has worked for. “My heart is breaking,” he shared.
Lierdam referred to the incident as a “very unfortunate moment” in a recent Instagram post, sharing an image from the incident and hinting at her hopes for the 500m in the Milan Olympics. “I had a disappointing moment at 1000 meters, which is my best distance,” she wrote. “For now, I will wait and hope for this season to give me the chance to skate my preferred distance.”
