Driver Renee Nicole Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent, was accused of 'stalking and obstructing' police, according to Noem.

A woman, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, was shot dead by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Wednesday. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that Good had been “stalking and obstructing federal law enforcement” leading up to the incident.

The shooting took place in a Minneapolis neighborhood, near the location where George Floyd was killed in 2020. According to reports, an ICE agent fired at Good after she allegedly attempted to ram her car into him during a protest.

Noem elaborated at a press conference, claiming that Good’s actions involved “stalking and interfering” with law enforcement’s legitimate activities before she was shot.

She noted that the vehicle Good was driving rolled onto an ICE vehicle stuck in the snow, surrounded by “a group of agitators” who had harassed law enforcement all day.

When approached by ICE agents, Good reportedly refused to move her unauthorized vehicle. Noem insisted that Good had chosen to “weaponize the vehicle,” alleging intent to harm one of the officers.

The DHS secretary characterized this incident as an “act of domestic terrorism,” while also mentioning it wasn’t an isolated case, as there were two other similar incidents in Minneapolis that day.

Details about the other vehicle incidents remain unclear. Both Noem and President Trump mentioned that the agent who shot Good sustained injuries during the confrontation. He was treated at a hospital but later released.

Noem praised the officer’s experience, stating that he had encountered similar situations before and acted according to his training.

She further revealed that this officer had previously been involved in another ramming incident during an anti-ICE protest in June. Noem also mentioned that there have been over 100 reports of vehicle ramming incidents targeting federal employees in recent weeks.

Additionally, she has urged the Justice Department to prosecute these anti-ICE attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
