US ambassador tells Iran that Trump is a person of action during urgent UN meeting.

Walz: Human rights violations in Iran are well documented

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Walz addressed the UN General Assembly, asserting that Iran’s Islamic regime is responsible for the deaths of “countless” Americans and is pursuing nuclear weapons unlawfully.

In an emergency meeting of the Security Council, Walz warned that President Trump is a “man of action,” emphasizing that all options are available to address the ongoing genocide. “We all share a responsibility to back the Iranian people and to put an end to the regime’s oppression and neglect,” Walz commented on Thursday.

Amidst widespread protests in Iran, the U.S.-based Human Rights Defenders News Agency reported a death toll of at least 2,677. Walz remarked, “Let me be clear: President Trump is no endless talker; he has made it known that everything is on the table to stop the genocide, and the Iranian leaders definitely recognize this.”

In response, Iran’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, Gholam Hossein Darji, accused the United States of attempting to destabilize the Islamic republic.

Darji stated, “Under the guise of concern for the Iranian people and claims of supporting human rights, the U.S. administration is presenting itself as a friend while actually laying the groundwork for political destabilization and potential military intervention.”

Walz dismissed these allegations, telling U.N. diplomats that Iranian leaders fear their own citizens. “It’s crucial to address the regime’s claims that these protests are foreign plots anticipating military action. In reality, the Iranian regime is weaker than ever and spreads these lies because of the power of its own people protesting in the streets,” Walz highlighted.

He further added, “This regime rules through repression and violence, and whatever they claim about being open to dialogue is just false. Enough is enough.” He questioned how many lives have been lost due to the regime’s negligence and abuse after decades of oppression.

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt briefed reporters that Trump had communicated serious consequences to the Iranian regime if the violence continues. She mentioned, “The President is fully aware that about 800 executions planned for yesterday have been halted, and all options remain open as the situation is closely monitored.”
