Fugitive Captured by U.S. Marshals Under Child’s Bed

On Friday, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) apprehended a fugitive who had attempted to conceal himself under a child’s bed, as revealed in a press release on Saturday.

Keentley Devon Bryant-Mulner was taken into custody due to a warrant issued by the Washington State Department of Corrections for breaching conditions of his “gradual reentry probation.” The press release provided further details on the situation.

According to the report, USMS agents set up a perimeter around a residence linked to the fugitive at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Officers made several announcements, and as two individuals exited the property, they had to dismantle a sliding glass door to gain access.

Upon entering, investigators found Bryant-Mulner trying to hide beneath a child’s bed. He voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement shortly after being discovered.

Bryant-Mulner had an outstanding warrant due to his April 2024 arrest, which involved charges such as first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, having a stolen firearm, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), and fleeing from community supervision.

Craig Thayer, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington, responded in a statement, appreciating the collaborative effort among local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies. He noted, “Gun violence continues in Spokane, and our community will be safer if all violent criminals are arrested and all firearms are removed from our streets.”

The USMS has not yet commented on additional inquiries regarding the incident.
