2026 American Express purse: Distribution details and winner's earnings

American Express 2026 is set for an exciting final round filled with intriguing narratives.

Siu Kim, who turned down an offer to join LIV Golf this offseason, heads into the last round at PGA West with a one-stroke advantage. But he’s closely followed by Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked player. It’s quite the scene, especially with 18-year-old Blaze Brown, who’s on the brink of making history.

Brown, who’s participating in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Bahamas Great Abaco Classic this week, could become the youngest winner ever on the PGA Tour if he manages to outplay Kim and Scheffler on Sunday. “I’m having fun,” Brown shared after Saturday’s play. “I mean, I’m 18 and playing on the PGA Tour. How awesome is that? I just graduated high school a couple of weeks ago, so it’s nice to feel a bit unburdened, and I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.”

As for Scheffler, he arrived on Sunday as the favorite, boasting impressive stats—he’s aiming for 18 holes that could connect him with legends like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus. He’s already accomplished a lot, winning four majors and 20 PGA Tour titles before hitting 30.

All three competitors are in pursuit of a hefty prize of $1,656,000. But they won’t have it easy; there are several strong contenders trailing, including Windham Clark, who clinched the 2023 U.S. Open. Clark is tied with Eric Cole, just two strokes behind Kim. Patrick Cantlay sits five strokes off at 17 under, while Rickie Fowler’s slow start on Saturday has pushed him back to a tie for 20th, sitting seven strokes behind Kim.
