Chaos in the Wake of Shootings

Amidst numerous attempts by the Trump administration to tighten Immigration and Customs Enforcement regulations following a series of mass shootings earlier this month, the left seems to be amplifying the tension rather than calming it.

On Thursday afternoon, a video clip featuring Kathy Griffin—a self-styled comedian—gained traction after she urged her followers to emulate a violent instigator from Minnesota.

“Sorry, but we have to figure out who’s on the team and then make a plan.”

Griffin specifically addressed her “woke” audience, recalling the deaths of Renee Goode and Alex Preti, both of whom had confrontations with law enforcement moments before their demise. She referred to these incidents and immigrant detention centers, which she derogatorily labeled “concentration camps,” as calls to action.

In her remarks, she acknowledged the desire to avoid radical movements and expressed a wish to engage in light-hearted storytelling about celebrities and politics. Yet, she emphasized the urgent realities unfolding around us.

Griffin then mentioned ICE enforcement in her neighborhood, Los Angeles, pointing to Minnesota’s approach as one worth emulating.

“It’s time to connect with your neighbors and find out if they lean MAGA. We need to unite as a community. From what I’ve gathered, Minnesota’s residents have developed a sophisticated approach to supporting each other. They rely on encrypted messaging apps, and there’s a sense of solidarity among them, reminiscent of strategies learned from the George Floyd incident.”

Her comments seemed to reference alleged leaks of private Signal chats in Minneapolis, as revealed by an independent journalist.

Before concluding her remarks, Griffin made a poignant statement: “Live your life, but be aware of this. Remaining silent means becoming an accomplice.” The video clip, shared by a TikTok account, achieved approximately 600,000 views by Friday morning.

It’s worth noting that Kathy Griffin boasts 1.7 million followers on social media platforms like Twitter and 864,000 on Instagram.
