Sen. John Fetterman advises DA Larry Krasner to relax following the CNN criticism

Fetterman Urges Krasner to “Tighten Up”

Senator John Fetterman, representing Pennsylvania, had some words for Philadelphia’s District Attorney Larry Krasner, after Krasner pursued him during a CNN interview. “He should really lighten up, Francis,” Fetterman commented during his conversation with Fox News host Jackie Heinrich, referencing the well-known 1981 film “Stripes.” Fetterman went on to imply that many of the controversial issues stemming from Krasner’s office seem to pander rather than address real concerns.

Recently, Krasner made headlines by equating ICE agents with Nazis. “In a country of 350 million, they are a small group of would-be Nazis,” he stated. “If we have to hunt you down like they hunted Nazis for decades, we will find you and deliver justice,” he added during a speech in Philadelphia.

During the same interview, Krasner did not hold back, labeling Fetterman as “Donald Trump’s favorite Democratic senator,” and claimed that Fetterman had abandoned the principles he once stood for.

Fetterman acknowledged their differences, particularly on issues like the deportation of criminal immigrants and securing the U.S. border. While he disagrees with Krasner on various points, Fetterman seemed reluctant to attack him personally, stressing that “nobody should compare themselves to Nazis.”

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro also weighed in, denouncing Krasner’s comments as “unacceptable, abhorrent and wrong,” offering a firm stance against such rhetoric. His remarks echoed a broader condemnation of inflammatory language across the political spectrum.
