Jesse James Decker Discusses Family Health and Migraine Awareness

In family life filled with sports, outdoor activities, and even pickleball, Jesse James Decker believes that fitness comes naturally. Recently, after some pictures of her family vacation became popular online, she felt compelled to address some critics.

Decker, who is working with AbbVie’s Love in Mind™ initiative to raise awareness about migraines, told FOX News Digital that her children’s healthy appearances are not due to strict routines or external pressures. Instead, it’s all about their active lifestyle, busy schedules, and a bit of good genetics.

“For us, many of my kids’ friends are like this too. They’re all just so active,” she explained. “Some of their friends are even children of NFL players, and in Nashville, they often attend the same schools. My kids are just busy—they’re always moving.”

When she shared a holiday photo featuring her kids showcasing their abs, it sparked a lot of attention. Many of her followers reacted with amazement while others were skeptical about how they maintain such fitness.

One comment even asked, “How do I get abs for the whole family?” while another noted, “The Decker family’s abs are crazy.” In discussing her children’s fitness, Decker referenced her husband’s athletic background as an NFL player.

“Look at their dad’s genetics,” she laughed, adding, “He’s really healthy—but he loves donuts too. Our family puts in a lot of work to stay fit.”

She emphasized how active her kids are, sharing that structured sports and physical movement are regular parts of their routine. “Vivi is a gymnast and practices five days a week, and little Eric is always involved in sports,” she shared.

The active lifestyle doesn’t stop at home; it continues during family vacations too. “We often cycle together, play soccer, or toss a ball on the beach,” she explained.

One family activity that stands out is their love for pickleball. “We play it daily, and we even have our own court in the backyard. When we travel, my husband often checks if there’s a court where we’re going,” she said.

Beyond discussing family life, Decker opened up about her personal battle with severe migraines, a struggle she has faced since childhood. Partnering with AbbVie, she aims to highlight the struggles associated with migraines. “This initiative is very meaningful to me,” she noted. “It hasn’t been just a simple headache for me; it’s something that has deeply affected my life.”

Decker discussed how migraines impact her work and home life, saying, “Knowing I have an audience waiting for me while my migraine’s coming on is tough. There were many moments when I felt like I couldn’t perform, yet I pushed through.”

Through her involvement with Love in Mind™, she hopes to create open discussions about the physical and emotional toll of migraines and let others know they are not alone. “It’s okay to miss out on something. Don’t be too hard on yourself—this is real, and it’s important,” she stated.
